The gala attracted hundreds of attendees, including prominent community members and leaders, underscoring the organization’s commitment to social causes in India. Under the leadership of Dr. Sudhir Parikh, Chairman, along with President Dr. Arun Palkhiwala and founder Amar Shah, the event raised over $2 million, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s history.
Since its inception, Life Global USA has raised and disbursed an impressive total of $7 million to support various development projects in India. These initiatives encompass essential areas such as education, women’s empowerment, and health services, with nearly all funds going directly to projects rather than administrative costs. This commitment to transparency and effective allocation of resources has garnered significant trust among donors, with close to 100% of contributions reaching the intended beneficiaries.
Fundraising Achievements and Event Highlights
During the gala, attendees pledged over $500,000, contributing to the total funds raised in 2026, which exceeded $2 million. The evening featured an auction of cricket bats, with proceeds enhancing the fundraising total. Additionally, a live musical performance by Dhun celebrated the legacies of renowned Indian singers Mohammad Rafi and Kishore Kumar, further enriching the cultural significance of the event.

Recognizing Humanitarian Initiatives
Dr. Palkhiwala highlighted key initiatives undertaken by Life Global USA throughout its history, reaffirming the organization’s dedication to saving lives, empowering communities, and fostering sustainable change. The audience viewed a special presentation summarizing the organization’s ten-year journey, which included an introduction to Project ‘Life’ and its extensive humanitarian efforts in Gujarat.
The event also featured a recognition message from Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, commending Life Global for its invaluable contributions to humanitarian causes. A tribute was paid to Chandrakant Koticha, founder of Project ‘Life’ Rajkot, who has dedicated over 50 years to enhancing blood banking infrastructure, preventing Thalassaemia, and promoting environmental conservation and education.
Meetal Koticha Shah, Joint Executive Trustee and CEO of Project ‘Life’ India, spoke about the organization’s significant work in education, women’s empowerment, and various humanitarian initiatives. About Life Global USA and Its Impact
Life Global USA supports several notable NGOs in India, including Project ‘Life’ India, which celebrates its 48th anniversary this year. Other supported organizations include the Gram Shree Trust, which aids Patola artisans; the Gandhi Ashram Trust, which provides education for 600 girls from Grade 1 to college; Sewa Rural in Jhagadia, Gujarat, which is modernizing a hospital; and the Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, which promotes literacy and social welfare in underserved areas.
Among its notable projects, Life Global USA has restored a 110-year-old school established by Mahatma Gandhi in Khedbrahma and constructed the Idar Chatrayalaya, a project made possible by a $125,000 donation from Dr. Haren Joshi and Dr. Pratima Tolat from the United States. The funds raised during the August 9 gala will enable Life Global USA to support an additional 300 women through its empowerment initiatives, expanding upon the 3,000 women already trained in various skills.
Additionally, $350,000 raised will contribute to developing an 11-acre site for the Gandhi Ashram Education Sankul.
